The Path of Protection
Nulana stood at the edge of time and brought forth the world, and it was good. He filled the world with plants and creatures, and it was good. Then, he brought forth his greatest creation, the elves, and it was good. He spent a time amongst them, teaching them and loving him. He showed them how to love in peace and happiness. At last, he declared the next day to be a holy day, whereupon, he would rest.
As he rested, Sibexa Toraka came from her home of Hel. She saw the works of Nulana and was jealous. She gave to the world six orbs, promising that they could reveal the knowledge and understanding of Nulana.
Instead, they would infect those who stared into them. The longer one stared, the more it would corrupt them. Thus, the perfect beings of the Elves were transformed into the Humans, Dwarves, Noni, Lisuan, Rakaxan, Goblins, Trolls, and Orks.
When Nulana awoke, he grew very sad to see the corruption the Sibexa Toraka had broght. He watched as the Sibexa Toraka’s corrupted children waged war on those who were uncorrupted. With a heavy heart, he sent down Kellindor and an army of Angels. The greatest of the Angels were known as The Kompanions. As Kellindor turned the tide of war, after destroying each of the Orbs, and while looking towards destroying all of the corrupted life, Nulana stopped him.
"All life is precious, even these. I will give all a chance to grow. But this can not happen while everyones' heart is filled with hate. Instead, divide each clan and put them into their own land. To each, give them a copy of my teachings. Let them know that those who keep my commandments, will receive my blessings, which make the blessings of Sibexa Toraka pale as the moon does before the Sun."
Kellindor did this and Nulana called Kellindor and The Kompanions home. As Kellindor left, he hid The Ruby Dragon in a great cave. He then charged the Elves with the task of keeping everyone separated. He reminded them that all life is precious, but that the corruption within some of the races was far too strong. Only the great love of Nulana prevented him from doing what must be done. Kellindor showed how the corruption of each race created a new threat, but especially the corruption of the Orks and Halflings.
Before leaving, Kellindor promised that if the world began to be consumed with evil again, He and the Kompanions would return.
